BAKED WITH LOVE : STORIES FROM MY HOME KITCHEN
Every business tells a story and stars with a reason. Mine started with an interest to bake at HOMEBAKERY and when I was in class tenth it began at a random evening when I planned to join a three day workshop of baking with my class 10th summer holidays of school. I learnt many new things , completely unaware it will turn out to become a business. For the initial one year I baked at HOME tried and tested with near and dear ones. On special occasions in family it got people attention , they loved my creations. Then after a year finally I decided to turn this hobby of mine to a small HOEMBAKERY business. Firstly, made an Instagram page named Frostymemoriess, a https://frostymemoriess.com/wp-adminHomebakery page that serves sweet delicacies 100 percent eggless and sweet moments that last forever. With no vision just started, so that several people can have a look what I create and can also place order. Every cake order was like a new chapter and a new learning. We specialize in fresh whipped cream cakes, perfect for those who prefer less cream and a light cake. We customise every cake from scratch as customer demands. Every cake is handcrafted. We don’t believe in overly sweet frosting . It gets challenging to run a HOMEBAKERY business while school is going on but managed to do alongside . Also exhibited stalls in society, included dry cakes, chocolates, cupcakes and a lot more. Every cake still reminds me of that first batch ,But the love continues and every order is curated with sheer hardwork. Whipped cream is light, airy and melts on tongue beautifully . Frostymemoriess is more than a cake, by the name we can understand that it’s a memory in making . Personally, handmade make every occasion a little extra special always. Also we try to shoot behind the scenes so that people just get to know the quality, reality and struggle and feels a part of this journey. After the cake is ready we shoot videos and clicks photos. Most important final part of whole process is to pack order. Packaging plays a crucial role , Then finally a order is complete. At the end, we always wait for customers feedback that’s the thing that motivates us to keep moving ahead creating and spreding smiles. If someone had told me a few years ago that baking something I did purely for fun would one day evolve into a small business, I probably would have laughed. Baking was a creative outlet, a stress reliever and honestly, a sweet escape from the chaos of daily life. But life has a funny way of surprising us especially when passion and persistence fall into the same recipe. My journey from hobby baker to small business (Home bakery) owner wasn’t overnight. It was full of experiments, joy, failures, confidence-boosting wins, and lots (and lots) of flour everywhere. Here’s how it all unfolded. What followed were months filled with experiments. Some days the cupcakes rose perfectly other days they resembled flat pancakes. I struggled with frosting consistency, oven temperature, and finding the right recipes. But every small improvement motivated me to keep going. My family became my unofficial taste testers (bless them), and every compliment or suggestion pushed me forward. I started learning techniques, watching tutorials, investing in tools, and trying recipes from scratch. Slowly, baking shifted from a random activity to a routine, then to a serious passion. The Turning Point: First Order The real shift happened when someone outside of family asked if they could order a cake from me. I remember reading the message twice. Then panicking. Then smiling uncontrollably. It wasn’t just about making a cake it was about someone trusting me enough to be part of their special moment. That first paid order changed everything. It motivated me to improve quality, invest in better ingredients, and think beyond just baking for fun. Becoming a Small Business Once word started spreading, my hobby quietly transformed into something bigger. Orders slowly increased—birthdays, anniversaries and small events. I created a name, a logo, and eventually a business identity. Then came the part most hobbyists ignore at first:Pricing, menu planning, packaging, delivery, customer communication, and budgeting things. I had never thought about it when I was just whisking batter on a Sunday afternoon. Running a baking business required skills beyond baking, and I had to learn them, one step at a time. Know More
